Shaykh Alaeddin El-Bakri began his study of Islam at a young age in North Africa and continued his education in the Islamic sciences in Jordan, learning from pre-eminent scholars in the Muslim world.

He has served the Muslim community in the United States in numerous capacities:

• Imam in several Islamic centers establishing full-time and weekends only islamic schools
• Founding Board member of Inner City Muslim Action Network in Chicago
• Book editor for IQRA
• Advisory board member on several islamic organizations
• Khateeb at Saratoga Masjid in California

His unique ability to reach out to diverse audiences stems from his training both in the secular and the sacred sciences. His abiding focus however is helping us understand the inner depths of the self, life and faith.
